Our aim is to characterize the functional interplay between dopamine and glutamate receptors at the plasma membrane at an unprecedented high temporal and spatial resolution. We combine single nanoparticle tracking, superresolution, FRET imaging, biochemical and electrophysiological approaches. We study the role of this interplay in the maturation of glutamatergic synapses, and its dysfunction in neuropsychiatric conditions.
